Θάνος ΠΛΕΥΡΗΣ

Minister Mr Plevris is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Athens, has a master's degree from the University of Heidelberg entitled "Patient Consent under Greek and German Criminal Law" and has done a PhD thesis at the University of Athens entitled «Criminal Justice. Research and experimentation on the subject of man specializing in criminal and medical law». He is a lawyer at the Supreme Court.

He is the founder of the civil non-profit company called "Infection Surveillance in Health". He has published several studies on clinical trials and patients' rights with the latest «Hospital Infections, Legal Assessment "Patients' rights, The position of the doctor, Examples of case law», Law Library Publications 2018.

From 2019 until today, he is Member of the Greek Parliament with “New Democracy” political party and on August 31, 2021 he was become Minister of Health, Hellenic Ministry of Health.
